Classes will take place virtually with start and end times varying depending on the unit. This class will be taught online using Zoom Meetings and is a joint venture between AGC Houston, AGC of DC and AGC Florida East Coast Chapters.
How lean is implemented within a construction firm can vary based on many factors and the lean transformation is most effectively driven and planned by individuals within a firm. This series of courses are intended for an organization's lean champions, who will design and implement a company's lean transformation strategy at the corporate and project levels.
The courses in this program will cover:
Unit 1: Variation in Production System - July 23rd (4 hours each)
Unit 2: Pull in Production - July 27th and 28th (2 hours each)
Unit 3: Lean Workstructuring - July 29th and 30th (2 hours each)
Unit 4: The Last Planner System - August 4th and 5th (2 hours each)
Unit 5: Lean Supply Chain and Assembly - August 11th, and 12th (4 hours/4 hours)
Unit 6: Lean Design and Preconstruction - August 13th and 14th (2 hours each)
Unit 7: Problem-solving Principles and Tools - Aug 17th, 18th and 19th (3 hours/3 hours/2 hours)
2 hours will take place from 2-4pm, 3 hours will take place from 1-4pm, 4 hours will take place from 1-5pmEST
Following completion of this program, individuals will have a deep knowledge of both the theory and application of Lean Construction and be able to sit for an exam to earn AGC's Certificate of Management - Lean Construction (CM-Lean) credential.
