In January, our YCF team is participating in CANstruction, an annual building competition where teams have to construct themed structures using only dried good cans that will later be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank.

Even before the pandemic, nearly 400,000 people in our area struggled with food insecurity.

Today, that number is rising rapidly as the economic impacts of COVID-19 affect people around the world and in our own backyards—and could rise to as high as 650,000 in our region alone.

Every dollar and can make a difference to our neighbors who need it most!
